Jokic and Hyland take part in the All Star Weekend festivities
CLEVELAND, Ohio (KKTV) — Several Denver Nuggets made the trip to Cleveland for All Star Weekend.
The league’s most valuable player, Nikola Jokic, will make his fourth All Star Game appearance. He’ll also be making his second straight start in the event, and you can see why by looking at his stats this year: The Joker is averaging at least one double-double per game.
Bones Hyland also went to Cleveland. He starred in the game Clorox Rising Stars. He had 10 points, two rebounds, a steal, a block and an assist.
His team, Team Payton ended up losing in the first round. But the Nuggets rookie says he’s just getting started when it comes to playing in the NBA.
“It’s just the beginning for me. I’m soaking up all this guy knowledge,” Hyland said after Friday’s game. “Just to see it all and know I can be in this league and what I provided and what I can bring in. I know I’m going to be an All Star in this league and so seeing that first hand…it’s important to me. Soaking it all in.
