Dare Days 2022 will kick off at the brand new College of The Albemarle (COA) Dare Campus on Friday, June 3 from 6-10 p.m. The doors of the new COA campus will be open to present the various programs offered.
“Grab your lawn chair or fuzzy blanket and spread out on the lawn while enjoying delicious food from local food trucks, playing with local bands and smiling as you watch children of all ages having lots of fun with all the lively activities throughout the evening,” the event organizers said. “Follow the downtown sidewalk to continue discovering the charming and bustling town of Manteo during the First Friday festivities as well!”

The party continues Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Roanoke Island Festival Park in downtown Manteo.
“Manteo is in motion with various construction projects, so we are expanding into the beautiful and spacious grounds of one of our local historic attractions,” organizers said. “It’s like an adventure within an adventure!”
All are welcome to bring family and friends and experience the variety of craft and food vendors, music, live entertainment, lawn games and a great kids corner. High school bands, local dancers and artists, an obstacle course and hula hoops are also on the program.

End a weekend of celebrations with family, friends and the community on Sunday, June 5 from 2-4 p.m. with a gospel concert at the Pea Island Cookhouse on Sir Walter Raleigh Street. Look for the statue of Warden Richard Etheridge which stands at the roundabout. An old-fashioned lemonade stand and local treats at the bake sales will provide refreshment while relaxing and enjoying a wide range of music provided by local churches and other groups.
“Dare Days 2022 is about celebrating and connecting communities at the grassroots level to share our wonderful and diverse culture and rich history through this very special event,” the event organizers said. “Also don’t forget to shop and dine at the many local shops and restaurants throughout the weekend. Buy local, save your receipts and redeem them anytime during the weekend festivities for fun gifts and prizes. Dare Days 2022 is sure to be a full weekend event!”
